Dr. Edward L. McCree II

Dr. Edward L. McCree II was appointed to Antioch Missionary Baptist Church on November 1, 2025. Dr. Edward L. McCree II was called by God to serve as the Pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Flint, Michigan; where he currently leads with vision, compassion, and steadfast faith.

A native of Pontiac, Michigan, Devoted husband of the former Crystal Roberson and the proud father of MaKayla Nicole McCree, Marissa Noel McCree, Markysa Lenay McCree, and Davaughn Jamal Roberson. He is also the joyful grandfather of Sage. Pastor McCree II accepted his divine call to the Gospel Ministry in 1987, and on the second Sunday of June 1988, he preached his initial sermon. Believing that “A call to Preach is a call to Prepare,” he enrolled at American Baptist College in Nashville, Tennessee, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992 and his B.Th. in 1993. While attending American Baptist College, he was called to Pastor Greater Truth Faith Missionary Baptist Church, faithfully serving there for eight years. During this period, he also pursued graduate studies in psychology at Tennessee State University. Pastor McCree II later continued his theological education, earning a Master of Divinity from the Theological University of America in 2004 and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the same institution in 2015. In 1996, Pastor McCree II was called to lead the Israel Missionary Baptist Church of Detroit, Michigan, where he served as Pastor for 30 years, ministering to both young and old through powerful preaching and sound biblical teaching, leading countless souls to Christ. Pastor McCree II stands on the promise that “Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard the great things God has in store for us.”
